Action involving the General Public

Imagine a place where you can meet more than 80% of Côte-Rôtie winegrowers, taste their wines and buy them. The place exists: it is the Ampuis wine market in January. www.marche-aux-vins-ampuis-cote-rotie.com

Everyone knows that the Côte-Rôtie vineyards date back to the Roman Empire. It is therefore obvious that the Côte-Rôtie appellation formed part of the exhibition “ Wine, the nectar of the gods, the genius of man ” at the Gallo-Roman museum in St Romain en Gal.

A vineyard map has just been produced. It shows the appellation’s soils and place names. It took a month of work on the land and 2 students from the university of Savoy to complete it. We would like to thank them for their work.
