In short

Louis Clerc was born to a family of market gardeners in Tupin Semons, and was drawn to the vines from an early age. However, his parents were strictly opposed to his chosen career.
Louis Clerc went on to study agriculture, but wine never left his mind. After a few decades spent as an arboriculturist, he bought 8 hectares of hillside within the Condrieu and Côte-Rôtie appellations.

At the dawn of the new millennium, and after some careful consideration, he invested in modern equipment: stainless steel vats with temperature control, a wine cellar.

Martin, his son, shares his passion for wine, and has long accompanied his father among the vines.

But the story of Louis Clerc, the man who built his estate, does not end there. The next chapter will be written by Martin Clerc, a student of winemaking. He will follow in his father's footsteps, acquiring the passion that his father has shared with him, while never forgetting what he used to say: "A winemaker's job begins with the vine: good wine needs good grapes".
