In short
A 4ha vineyard in Rozier, on the Ampuis hillsides 2 miles from the village.
Our oldest Côte-Rôtie vintage dates from 1991.
In the year 2000, we decided to make a parcel vintage on the La Brocarde hillside.
La Brocarde occupies the abrupt, exposed hillsides to the south, producing silky wines with a long finish that are bottled following a 26-month maturation in new barrels.
The vineyard's other Côte-Rôtie vintage is Les Elotins.
Planted on schist, Les Elotins is a blend of the vineyard's other parcels, also matured for 26 months in barrels used for one or two wines.
The Côte-Rôtie vines are on average around 20 years old. However, the oldest parcel was planted by my grandfather in 1942.
In 2006, we decided to cross the river and plant Syrah on the left bank of the Rhone.
This is where the La Bâtie vintage, a vin de pays from the Rhone hillsides comes from, a wine first produced in 2009.
The 2011 vintage should see the estate's first white wine.
The Les Matisses Condrieu, from the vines planted in La Caille in Condrieu, is now available after a 10-month maturation.
