Les Vins de Vienne

Friends and winegrowers, Yves Cuilleron, Pierre Gaillard and François Villard are three passionate and renowned viticulturists on the right bank of the Rhone. In 1996 they began a great adventure: to bring the ancient Seyssuel vineyard back to life. Crossing the Rhone, they replanted the area around the Archbishop's chateau with a few hectares of Syrah, and the first vintage was produced in 1998. They then decided to buy vines in Condrieu, Saint-Péray, Saint-Joseph and Côte Rôtie And they have never looked back.

Today, the vineyard covers 18 hectares.
11 hectares on the Seyssuel hillside, to the north of the Rhone Valley, grow Syrah and Viognier, producing 3 Collines Rhodaniennes PGI wines:
Sotanum (red)
Héluicum (red)
Taburnum (white)
7 hectares on the other bank cover the following appellations:
Côte-Rôtie
Condrieu
Saint Joseph (red)
Saint Péray (white)
in a range named the "Archevêques" (Archbishops)
Since 1998, they have also been developing a winemaking merchant business on the northern Côte du Rhône vineyards. A house oenologist oversees every parcel in over 20 hectares of appellations, from the famous Côte-Rôtie to Saint Péray. The wines are made in Chavanay.
As for the southern appellations - Gigondas, Châteauneuf du Pape, Vacqueyras, etc.- the vintages are selected at the vineyard and then transferred to their winery to mature.
